Connections to today
| These men Who were part of the 308th infintry all knew what they were going up against, when they had the chace to retreat back threw enemy lines, they decided not to but to continue the mission at all cost and to press forward. That is like the military today, there are men and women out there that fight for us no matter what the cost, and they do not turn back, but on the other hand, many people back home wont fight for anyone, and if they ever have the chance they will take the lazy way out instead of pushing forward to do what needs to be done. They decide to let someone else do it. Since back then The military has stayed the same in that they will always go through with their mission, but the society that it is fighting for has changed to be selfish and greedy wanting other people to achive their goals for them. |
